GoldCart THC Vaporizer Cartridges:
The Whole Story

Ultra Pure and Strain Specific Cartridges:
What's the Difference?

GoldCart™Ultra Pure and Strain Specific cartridges offer two very different vaporizing experiences. Our original Ultra Pure cartridges remain the same as they have been for years. Our new Strain Specific cartridges contain CO2 extracted cannbis oil that is far less processed than that of Ultra Pure cartridges.

Strain Specific cartridges taste like their original marijuana strains, and have a noticeable marijuana aroma. Ultra Pure cartridges by comparison contain oil that is far more processed, and do not taste or smell like marijuana. While both have essentially the same effect, Strain Specific ones offer what some consider a more "natural" experience, while Ultra Pure ones offer a milder taste experience and low odor profile.

Because Strain Specific carts do have a quite noticeable cannabis aroma, you need to be aware of where you use them as others around you will notice the aroma. If you find this a problem, use our Ultra Pure cartridges instead, because they do not have a marijuana aroma.

Ultra Pure carts always taste exactly the same no matter where or when you buy them. Their THC percentage remains exact and never varies. They are available in a Classic natural unflavored version, or versions with added natural flavors such as Creme Brûlée, Earl Grey, Pineapple and Spearmint. These flavors are always in stock as available.

In comparison, Strain Specific cartridges retain the delightful CO2 flavors and aromas from their original strains. There are variations in taste and aroma from batch to batch and the THC percentage may vary by as much as 5%. Typical strains are Super Lemon Haze, Gorilla Glue, Skywalker OG, Sour Diesel, Blue Mystic and more. We make them in small batches as the stain starting material is available. Consequently, we do not always have every strain in stock. Check the Patient Ordering page under the Store menu item to see today's choices.

The methods we use to make Ultra Pure cartridges compared to Strain Specific ones are considerably different. The oil for Ultra Pure cartridges is extracted from a blend of strains, then distilled to remove as many extraneous compounds as possible while retaining all the THC. Batches of Ultra Pure oil are blended together much the same as Jack Daniels whiskey is blended so it always tastes the same. The amount of THC never varies.

By comparison, the oil for Strain specific cartridges is extracted from a single strain and not blended with other batches. Consequently, batches vary in taste, color and aroma much like unblended batches of single-malt Scotch vary from barrel to barrel. Strain specific oil also varies slightly in THC percentage from batch to batch.

The Clear Advantages of Vaporizing

Simply put, vaporizing is easier and more discreet than smoking cannabis. It is also safer and cleaner. Better yet, it is also cost effective. We think you'll agree that a GoldCart™ is a far better value than a comparable amount of highest-quality cannabis flowers. It lasts as long or longer for the same price. It tastes better and has no dry mouth. You don't inhale smoke, and there is no marijuana smell.

By comparison, an eighth ounce of flowers with 15% total THC would have 525mg THC, but much of is lost in the high heat of combustion.

Vaporizing works by heating PureGold to the boiling point of THC, which is much lower than the temperature of combustion. The THC is released as vapor, similar to steam from a teakettle but containing THC instead of water. That's why you can get the instant benefits of inhaling cannabis without inhaling burning plant matter.

GoldCart THC vaporizer cartridges are the ideal solution for patients who want the strong, fast acting response of inhalation, but in a discreet, portable, healthier and reusable delivery device. Ultra Pure GoldCarts are odorless, smokeless and discreet. You can medicate anywhere, anytime without lighting up and creating a cloud of marijuana smoke. And with either Ultra Pure or Strain Specific carts, you avoid harmful combustion byproducts such as carbon monoxide, pyrolytes and particulates.

Vaporizer cartridges are not created equal

When judging vaporizer cartridges, it's what you don't see that counts. Are the contents crystal clear like a GoldCart, or cloudy? Can you see any suspended particulates when you tilt it back and forth? Is the filling light in color like a GoldCart or dark and murky? Pure cannabinoids are clear and light in color. Anything else is junk in the mixture. TetraLabs eliminates that junk. TetraLabs UltraPure is so pure that it leaves no ash—one reason why our heating elements last longer.

Dependability and Repeatability

A GoldCart does not deliver a set amount per puff. You control how much by how long and how hard you inhale. Start with a couple of light puffs. The THC is absorbed directly into the bloodstream via capillaries in the lungs. So the effect is noticeable almost instantly. After you judge the effect from the first couple puffs, you'll know if you need more to control your symptoms. Thereafter, the dosage is repeatable by taking the same number of puffs of the same duration.

GoldCart Ultra Pure THC cartridges always contain exactly the same amount of THC no matter when or where you buy them. The 0.5g GoldCart has 250mg THC whereas a 1.0g GoldCart contains 500mg. Strain Specific cartridges may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Active-Ingredient Purity

GoldCart Ultra Pure THC cartridges contain PureGold, which is not an ordinary oil. Rather, PureGold consists only of purified cannabinoids that
are further refined from
extracted oil. It is pale yellow and crystal clear. GoldCart Strain Specific cartridges contain less refined extract oil with more individual batch characteristics.

In either case, GoldCarts contain no solvents, molds, bacteria, plant matter, or any other contaminant. In fact, you can see there are no contaminants because you can see right through it. Compare a GoldCart to lower quality cartridges and you'll agree it is clearer, lighter and has no junk floating in it.

Other Ingredients

We make the formula for UltraPure GoldCarts by mixing PureGold cannabinoids with a fruit extract for better wick-ability and to maintain a constant amount of THC in each batch. In addition, flavored cartridges contain a tiny amount of natural flavoring oil. Strain Specific cartridges contain no other additives.

You will never find propylene glycol used to dilute in any TetraLabs product. Propylene glycol is the ingredient used in automobile anti-freeze. Although most claim it is safe, TetraLabs doesn't believe it belongs in your body.

GoldCart Packaging

Packaging and Form Factor

GoldCart THC vaporzer cartridges come in two sizes: a longer 1.0g cartridge with 500mg THC or a shorter 0.5g one with 250mg THC. Both sizes are available in five flavors: Classic, Pineapple, Crème Brulee, Spearmint and Earl Grey.

GoldCarts have a standard 510 thread that fits most e-cig and vaporizer batteries. Occasionally, the electrical contact in the bottom of the cartridge gets pressed in too hard and does not make electrical contact. To fix this easily, insert a blunted toothpick into the little eyelet and wiggle the eyelet out a tiny bit.

Battery 280

This small, slim battery accepts 1.0g and 0.5g GoldCart vaporizer cartridges. It fits nicely in a shirt pocket. The battery is switchless—it turns on automatically when you inhale. A ring of tiny LED lights near the tip lets you know it has turned on when you inhale. The black rubber tip is actually a touch-screen stylus tip, which is perfect for selecting small objects.

The 280mAh capacity lasts 5 days, or more, depending on usage. The battery turns off automatically when it is time for charging. The included USB charger shuts off when the battery is fully charged.

Cartridge Not Working?

Occasionally, the electrical contact in the bottom of the cartridge gets pressed in too hard and does not make electrical contact to the battery. You can easily fix this. Just insert a toothpick into the little eyelet at the bottom of the cartridge, and wiggle the eyelet out a tiny bit.
